Draft · not legally reviewed

Founding member terms

Cohort One of the Yoga.org teacher certification, beginning October 1, 2026.

This is a working draft

These terms have not been reviewed by a lawyer and are not in force. They're published so the commercial terms can be read and argued with before anyone is asked for money. Amounts, dates, and the cohort cap are provisional and subject to change before reservations open.

1 · What you're buying

A place in Cohort One of the Yoga.org teacher certification: a twelve-week program of faculty-reviewed modules assembled into a path based on your assessment, a recorded teaching practicum reviewed by a named faculty member, a publicly verifiable credential on successful completion, and the first year of a Yoga.org directory listing.

2 · Price and payment

The founding rate is $299 in total. A $99 deposit reserves your seat. The balance is payable either as a single $200 charge on October 1, 2026, or as three monthly payments of $79 on October 1, November 1, and December 1, 2026 — a total of $336 for the payment plan.

The exact amount and date of every future charge is displayed at checkout before you agree to it, and emailed to you at least five days before each charge is made. Your payment details are stored solely to make the charges you have agreed to.

3 · Refunds and cancellation

Your deposit is refundable in full at any time before October 1, 2026, for any reason or none. Email us and it's returned to the original payment method.

After the cohort begins, the deposit is non-refundable, and any balance already charged is non-refundable, because your seat and your reviewer's time have been committed. You may transfer your place to a later cohort once, at no cost, if you request it within the first two weeks.

4 · What happens if we don't deliver

If Cohort One does not begin on October 1, 2026, your deposit is refunded automatically and in full unless you instruct us to hold your seat for the revised date.

If a module is not ready and approved when scheduled, we will delay it and tell you, rather than release material that has not been reviewed. If total delays push the program beyond sixteen weeks from the start date, you may withdraw and receive a pro-rata refund of everything you have paid.

5 · Cohort cap

Cohort One is capped so that every practicum can be reviewed by a human being. When the cap is reached, reservations close and later applicants join the next cohort at the then-current price. The founding rate is not offered again.

6 · Certification is earned, not purchased

Payment buys access to the program and a practicum review. It does not guarantee certification. Certification requires demonstrating the published competencies, including a practicum reviewed and approved by a named faculty member, who may require resubmission or decline to pass a submission. You may resubmit your practicum once at no additional cost.

7 · What this credential is not

Yoga teaching is not a licensed profession in the United States or in most other jurisdictions. The Yoga.org credential is issued by Yoga.org Foundation, Inc. on its own published standard. It is not a government accreditation, it is not issued or recognized by Yoga Alliance, and it is not a substitute where a specific employer or insurer requires Yoga Alliance registration. We make no representation about employment, income, or insurance acceptance.

8 · Content status

Course material is drafted with AI assistance and reviewed and approved by practicing teachers before release to the cohort. Material touching anatomy, injury, or contraindications additionally receives medical review. The current review status of every module is published on the curriculum page. Nothing in the program is medical advice.

9 · Directory listing

Certification includes twelve months of a Yoga.org directory listing from the date of certification. Listings renew annually at the then-current rate; founding members keep a locked renewal rate. A listing does not guarantee enquiries, leads, or students.
